10 Days | Sri Lankan Adventure

This cultural and natural tour of Sri Lanka’s major highlights is the perfect introduction to such a unique destination. Explore a spice plantation, experience a safari in Minneriya National Park, and stay in the rainforest in Kitulgala, and then chill out on the serene Trincomolee Beach.
 

Day 1 KITHULGALA

Pick up at the airport and drive to Kithulgala, famous for whitewater rafting. Opt to hit the rapids in the afternoon, and then drive to Adam's Peak for an overnight stay.

DAY 2 ADAM'S PEAK/KANDY

Make the journey of pilgrimage to Adam's Peak and enjoy incredible sunrise views across Sri Lanka's stunning hill country. Then continue onto Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy. 

DAY 3 KANDY

This morning we embark on a sightseeing tour of Kandy. In the afternoon we visit Temple of the Tooth Relic before enjoying the folk dances of a local cultural group. Overnight stay in Kandy. 

DAY 4 DAMBULLA/SIGIRIYA

Drive to Dambulla, enroute visit a spice garden.  Continue on to the impressive Dambulla Cave Temple and admire ancient Buddhist murals and statues. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

DAY 5 SIGIRIYA

Visit Sigiriya (Lion) rock fortress in the morning and climb the steps to the top of this captivating site to discover UNESCO-listed ruins and take in stellar views. Elephant safari at the Minneriya National Park in the evening. Staying in Sigiriya.

DAY 6 TRINCOMALEE

Drive to Trincomalee and take a sightseeing tour to Koneswaram Temple, the Temple of the Thousand Pillars and Dakshina-Then Kailasam - a classical medieval Hindu temple complex. Overnight stay in Trincomalee.

DAY 7 TRINCOMALEE

Enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. Overnight stay in Trincomalee.

DAY 8 ANURADHAPURA

Today we journey east to Anuradhapura, perhaps stopping to drink refreshing king coconuts from the roadside. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

DAY 9 ANURADHAPURA

Explore the sacred city of Anuradhapura – a UNESCO World Heritage site – and discover ancient Buddhist monasteries. Highlights include the sacred bo-tree - the oldest documented tree in the world, the 1600 columns of Brazen Palace and Ruwanweliseya - the most famous dagobas in Sri Lanka. Visit Mihintale mountain in the evening to watch the sunset. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

DAY 10 NEGOMBO

Drive to Negombo (Airport).
